Title: Lead ACI Engineer/Architect Duration: 12+ Months Location: Remote
Responsibilities One of the leading financial technology companies, is hiring a seasoned Lead ACI Network Engineer to join our growing Network Engineering team within the Tech Services Organization. This team is responsible for the infrastructure design and implementation functions, and support for all of business units and partners with regards to Networking and Telephony. In this role, you will manage networks within a multi-tenant environment, focus on developing best practices IT standards, process compliance, delivery of requested projects, as well as audit compliance. The overall vision of the team is to enable our implementation and support teams to operationalization the environment and allow for consistent delivery to our customers at our local data centers, CoLo (colocation facilities), and Cloud providers, as well as remote and consumer sites. The position will be demanding and requires a strong engineering background with effective leadership skills to help the team to succeed. The Network Engineering team has expanded, and the environment has become increasingly complex. The position will join this strong team that is already performing to a very high level all the while having fun in the process! This position will be performed remotely. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in a data center or cloud networking environment (SDN, ACI, NSX, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
Experience with ECMP fabrics and EVPN overlay.
Experience interfacing with service provider networks, traffic engineering.
Prior or current relevant certifications in the fields of network, telecom, or systems (CCNP, CCDP, CCIE).
Project management experience with high-profile/tight timeline projects.
Experience managing the modernization of aging network architecture and ensure build-out of new systems will scale through massive transformation and integrations.
Experience in developing action plans with work estimates as part of IT projects.
Experience in deployment of multi-tenant environments and networks.
Comprehensive experience with Life Cycle Management in Enterprise Environments.
Experience with Enterprise Level Wireless Controllers, ISE, and 802.1x.
Experience with programmatic deployment of networks and templating of processes. Leveraging Python, Postman, XML, and JSON to deploy applications within varying object models.
Experience with Network Functions Virtualization.
Experience with VMware networking and converged infrastructure.
Deployment of day 2 management solutions.
Analyzes customer requirements and recommends appropriate products and services.
Designs and deploys multiple tenant networks within a software defined data center.
Prepares statements of work relative to upcoming network installations and general preparations for installations.
Engineer advanced features such as service-chaining, transit-routing, vlan translation.
Analyzes configuration between multiple datacenters, validating consistency and adhering to deployment standards.
Extensive experience configuring and managing complex multiple routing protocols and redistribution mechanisms.
Provides phone support to employees or customers relative to networking technology and participates in a Level 3 on-call rotation
Corresponds with customer and other divisions within the company to ensure all customer concerns and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Analyzes network topologies to determine potential issues and makes suggestions for recommended changes.
Creates network assessments and certifications.
Assists and mentors less experienced peers. Acts as a team lead.
Serves in an advisory capacity for technical decisions.
Installs current network operating server software on new or existing server-class hardware and/or installs communication equipment including routers, terminal servers, switches and firewalls.
