Test Engineer

Location: Remote (must be in US, ideally in the Bay Area)

Responsibilities and Duties:

Your primary responsibilities in this role will be to assist with building testing infrastructure and suites of automated test cases for the Graphiant’s cloud-based management system. You will:

• Experience with system-test infrastructure for cloud based micro service application
• Experience with integration test infrastructure for micro service application
• Experience with test infrastructure for UI testing
• Experience with testing infrastructure for end-2-end testing of the Graphiant network management solution
• Experience with testing infrastructure for production environment testing of the Graphiant network management solution
• Assist with the creation of test plans for application testing
• Assist with writing automated test cases for application features
• Assist with writing automated test cases for service and infrastructure failure scenarios

 

Qualifications:

What type of experience do you NEED to have?

• Bachelor’s Degree, or higher, in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of building test infrastructure for applications
• Experience in Python, Perl or similar languages
• Experience testing micro service applications
• Experience testing cloud-based applications
• Experience testing web browser-based application front end
• Experience working with REST API and associated technologies; gRPC, thrift, JSON, XML or similar

What skills are ideal but not required?

• Exposure with service discovery tools; Zookeeper, HashiCorp consul, Kubernetes or similar software
• Exposure with messaging systems; ZeroMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka or similar
• Exposure of different SQL and No-SQL datastores; MySQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, InfluxDB, Redis, DynamoDB, Cassandra or similar
• Exposure with L3/L4/L7 load balancers, geo-location user targetting, web servers
• Exposure with network management technologies; gRPC, Netconf, SNMP, NetFlow, IPFIX
