Senior Network Engineer

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Job Description:

Support ECS data network health and reliability; support ECS customers and sales group as well as participate in the development of existing and next generation products including defining design, evaluating products and implementing new technology:

• Participate in ECS LAN, MAN, WAN network segments design and implementation including introduction of new network protocols and architectures
• Provide configuration and configuration templates for data network elements and services
• Participate in analysis of network load and routing and provide support in efforts targeting network performance and reliability improvement, as well as capacity and routing optimization
• Participate in trials of new networking products and software and introduction of new protocols and network software
• Plan, design, implement and support E-LINE, E-LAN and VPRN services
• Undertake special projects and deliver cross-­?functional training classes
• Work with customers and vendors on a frequent and direct basis to resolve any maintenance or provisioning problems
• Consult with sales for network designs and non-­?standard business opportunities
• Develop plans to define, optimize, augment, and reconfigure the network based on actual and anticipated growth.
• Investigate and propose tools for network reporting

Internet engineering, management and support:

• Deploy ECS Internet Service Provider network based on Nokia technologies
• Allocate IP space as required by members and customers
• Maintain current, accurate IP address space records
• Design, implement and deploy routed IP/MPLS networks with BGP, OSPF, ISIS, LDP, RSVP-TE and other protocols as necessary for ECS Internet Access network
• Participate in design and implementation of ECS data network security
• Design and implement end point security
• Act as local Tier III technical support on all data networking issues

This role may require on-location work with WWT customers. Some customers may require WWT employees and contractors coming on-site to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and/or to receive frequent negative COVID-19 testing.
