Responsibilities:
- Recent, hands-on experience with installing, configuring, optimizing, and administering network monitoring tools in a large enterprise environment. This includes dashboard, filter, and policy creation.
- Extensive knowledge around how to achieve and leverage network-wide visibility tools and data, in both virtual and physical network environments. Cloud experience a plus.
- Excellent communication skills – able to provide technical training and demos for others.
- Able leverage tools to proactively identify and reactively to troubleshoot network and cybersecurity issues.
- Strong understanding of SNMPv2 and SNMPv3, MIBs, MIB Walks, Configuring and optimizing Netflow, bandwidth utilization reports and link-up/link-down alerting.
- Coordinating with external departments to optimize and integrate third-party platforms (Cisco, Palo Alto, Windows, Linux, and COTS applications) to ensure monitoring and alerting is configured to meet organizational standards.
- Preferrable to have recent experience with the following. First 3 are most important.
- Gigamon
- ExtraHop
- Splunk
- AKIPS
- ThousandEyes
