Pleasanton, CA
Change Manager within the Professional Services Department. A minimum of seven years of experience in a Professional Services environment, leading complex Information Technology projects is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Minimizes our exposure and risk across multiple projects
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Complete change management assessments
  • Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics
  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance
  • Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levels: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan
  • Support and engage senior leaders
  • Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities
  • Coordinate efforts with other specialists
  • Integrate change management activities into project plan
  • Evaluate and ensure user readiness
  • Manage stakeholders
  • Track and report issues
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
  • Support change management at the organizational level
SCHEDULE REQUIRMENTS:
This position is expected and required to work some evenings until the early hours of the next day for scheduled migration events. It will be necessary to support multiple International time zones for meetings or communications as needed. Work day must be flexible in order to complete required tasks within enough time to make deadlines. Also it may be required to be in the office in Pleasanton and at the customer site i.e. Walnut Creek specifically Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and at Pleasanton office on Thursdays and work from home Fridays or after a cutover night. Possible weekend work as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, or related field
  • BMC Remedy experience preferred
  • Proven experience with people management, strategic planning, risk management and change management
  • Knowledge of Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Nexus Switch capabilities, implementations, and architectures.
  • Understand WAN/LAN and transport technologies (Ethernet, Frame Relay and MPLS).
  • Strong knowledge of networking device equipment (F5, Brocade, NetScout, Steelhead, Firewall, Voice Gateway)
  • Ability to understand, differentiate, and engage with multiple server platforms (Linux, Unix, Wintel, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and aggressively track to project timelines
  • Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
