Union Bank has engaged WWT to assist the Network Security team within Enterprise Information Security. WWT will provide a resource to assist with the development and automation of the Network Security environment.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 year’s experience in network operations covering tiered support roles eventually evolving into ITSM process and NMS systems integration at scale
  • Strong operations management background with a core focus on NMS (Network Management Systems) architecture (design through deployment and optimizations)
  • Strong analytical skills pertaining to the use of current use and consumption of network management and related tooling platforms
  • NMS system development and strong scripting skills (Python, Perl, Shell, C, C++, etc.) covering integration of disparate platforms and technologies vial TMN LLA tiered hierarchy
  • Thorough understanding of NMS platform software development lifecycles and Release Management best practices, structure and controls
  • Thorough understanding of management protocols and their implementation (specifically SNMP variants and Syslog)
  • Strong background in current day internetworking technologies (LAN, WAN and Firewall), MPLS, QoS, etc. and Unified Communications protocol implementations (SIP, RTP, H.323, etc.)
  • Strong background in Linux and MS Server administration and security models
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • Strong operations management background with a core focus on IT Service Management (ITSM) Report development and generation lifecycles (report requirements analysis, design, deployment, tuning and optimization)
  • Strong analytical skills pertaining to the use of current use and consumption of ITSM reporting by Network and Unified Communications NOC staff, Engineering Support teams and leadership to aid in Incident, Problem, Service Level, Availability, etc. management dimensions
  • Report development experience with current commercially available reporting solutions: Jasper/Jaspersoft, Business Objects/Crystal Reports, BIRT/Actuate
  • RDBMS administration background for common databases like SQL, MySQL, Postgress, etc.
  • Knowledge of SQL syntax operations (transact-SQL, pl SQL, etc.)
  • Thorough knowledge of ITSM report generation in business dashboard technologies
  • Strong knowledge of Web services technologies and their implementations (MS IIS, Apache Tomcat, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of open source automation tools (RedHat Ansible)
Job Responsibilities
  • Performs other duties relevant to deployment and security operations as assigned
  • Identify and develop additional areas of network automation to streamline engineering and operations
  • Evaluate operational support model to refine alerting/reporting in order to further improve uptime and related metrics
  • Investigate areas to improve proactive event management with the introduction of automation to improve alerting or establish “self-healing” capability within the environment
  • Review capacity, performance and related measures to determine ways to increase on demand bandwidth and network resource allocation as required
  • Support the realization of full SDN deployment, including direct involvement in the automation related to SDWAN provisioning and service turn-up
  • Provide support for the deployment of automation in both network and security service provisioning
  • Support the management of the network related tooling (reference architecture and inventory)
  • Support the review of all tools being added/proposed within the environment
  • Support the documentation of the tools and automation strategy
