Team Overview
“Client’s” Information Technology (IT) organization is comprised of various unified departments which collaborate effectively in order to deliver high quality technology solutions.
The Digital Catalyst Team is a new enterprise team that is responsible for working collaboratively with the lines of business to implement consumer grade mobile and analytical solutions across various user groups (e.g., field users, office workers, etc.). This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Deploying best-in-class / rapid delivery capability for mobile & data analytic solutions.
  • Simplifying, improving, and standardizing work management processes for mobile needs.
  • Delivering high value analytics across all Lines of Businesses.
  • Rapid delivery of web applications.
 
Digital Catalyst consists of a staff of highly skilled professionals working together to produce mobile & data analytic solutions following an agile methodology and design thinking. We are a “start-up” department within IT and building driven and creative mobile development team. We take the time to understand our partners’ needs and translate those into solutions that delight our users. Our goal is to deliver products with intuitive user experience that will improve “Client’s” employees’ and customers' safety, productivity and overall well-being.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner in the Digital Catalyst Team who will provide a clear vision of the product that will be built.  From the vision the Product Owner guides the team in writing, estimating and prioritizing user stories. They build a well informed product roadmap to give transparency to leadership and set stakeholder expectations.  This role works with team and technical leadership to maintain the technical integrity and quality of the product.  The Product Owner focuses on the end-user experience and needs which will drive the deliver the product.  They are responsible for building and maintaining relationships that allow the Product Owner to act as the customer proxy.  Uses influence to overcome hierarchal challenges.
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Holds the problem space and owns the product vision
  • Understands customer’s needs and test assumptions to clarify the product’s direction
  • Prioritizes the most important work for product teams (short-term and long-term work)
  • Facilitates team activities: story mapping, prioritization, estimation, roadmapping, product brainstorming and business model canvas
  • Works with the team to surface and address impediments
  • Balances tradeoffs among product value, design, and technology
  • Acts as the voice of the customer, interfacing with enterprise leaders as an advocate of the product
  • Develops feature requirements and works with the team to define acceptance criteria
  • Collaborates with the team to agree on a definition of done and collective ownership
  • Define and deliver minimum viable products, adding key features incrementally
  • Help build a healthy and happy team
Minimum Education/Skills:
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of related work experience
  • 5+ years experience as a Product Owner of an agile development team
